Youngest ever self-immolation protester

Three teenaged monks, have set themselves on fire outside a police station in Eastern Tibet.

The youngest monk, 15-year-old Dorjee, died at the scene.

16-year-olds Samdup and Dorjee Kyab were taken to hospital by security forces.

Cry for freedom

The young boys called for freedom in Tibet and for the return of the Dalai Lama.

Immediately after the protests, Chinese security forces arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.

The boys' current condition and whereabouts remain unknown.

Ngaba protests continue to rise

The boys were all from the same area and belonged to Ngoshul Monastery, Gomang Township in Ngaba County.

This is approximately 10 km away from Ngaba town, where many of the previous self-immolation protests have taken place.

Security tightened in Tibet

Intensified security measures have already been enforced throughout Ngaba County, where Tibetans are unable to leave or enter the area.
