Shanghai Exposed

This week marks Tibet Week at the Shanghai Expo.

China is using the Expo to tell a story of Tibet which is a far cry from reality. While the Tibet Pavilion, named 'Heavenly Tibet', attempts to show Tibetans as living merrily under Chinese rule, Free Tibet exposes the reality of China's occupation.

"The Chinese authorities have transformed Tibet into a terrifying battle ground...It makes one shiver with fear. They have made everyone powerless, helpless and desperate."
