Prayer services for those lost in Japan & Yunnan

March 18, 2011: At 7pm more than 500 monks chaired by Lama Shar Kyabgon from Rongwo Monastery in Rebkong County held a prayer service form those who died in the recent tsunami in Japan and earthquake in Yunnan, China. The monks as well as around 100 Tibetan lay-people offered butter lamps and chanted scriptures and sutras for the peace and health of the world. The prayer ceremony lasted until 9pm.
