Tibetans and supporters march in London
Hundreds of Tibetans and supporters took to the streets of London on 6 March 2010 to mark the 51st anniversary of the 1959 Tibetan uprising, when some 86,000 Tibetans were killed by Chinese forces, leading to the Dalai Lama moving into exile in India.
The march began at the Chinese Embassy and ended outside the British Foreign Office, where speakers addressed the crowd.
The marchers were not only marking over fifty years of peaceful Tibetan resistance to Chinese rule, but were marching in solidarity with Tibetans whose human right and freedoms are still being denied in their own country today.
