Tibetan arrests captured on video

A harsh crackdown is documented in new footage from Tibet.

The arrest of a number of individuals is featured in a new video which has emerged from Tibet. It is unclear what the people in the video are accused of and the whereabouts of a number of them remain unknown.

The authoritarian response took place in April 2008. It followed significant protests against Chinese occupation, which began in Lhasa and spread across the Tibetan plateau.

Terrified Tibetans are seen being dragged from their beds by the paramilitary People’s Armed Police (PAP) and paraded in front of the camera.
