More Tibetan political prisoners

It is impossible to know how many Tibetan political prisoners are serving sentences today. A large percentage of these are monks who have been imprisoned for staging peaceful protests against Chinese rule or for human rights and freedoms. Tibetan laypeople, nomads, students, artists and businessmen are also imprisoned in China's notorious jails in Tibet, and many have been tortured during their detention.
