I stand with the Dalai Lama
The Dalai Lama's teachings in London, Nottingham and Oxford have shown that thousands of people in the UK stand with the Dalai Lama. Here is a selection of supporters who were pictured at the talks, urging Prime Minister Gordon Brown to stand up for Tibet now that he has met the Dalai Lama.

Now that Gordon Brown has sat down with the Dalai Lama, we are urging him to stand up for Tibet.
You can help by writing to your local MP and asking them to do the same.
Writing a personal letter or e-mail to your MP is a great way to press for action as they are directly responsible to you and you may well receive an answer which can be helpful in letting both you and us know where they stand on the Tibet issue.

In light of the Dalai Lama's recent visit to the UK, I am writing to ask you to urge the Prime Minister to stand up for Tibet.
I am sure you will join me in congratulating Mr. Brown for meeting the Dalai Lama, as it was the right and proper thing to do.
As you know, the problems in Tibet can never be resolved without the involvement of the Dalai Lama, so I hope that you will also join me in standing with the Tibetan spiritual leader by asking Mr. Brown to state publicly that the Chinese government must drop the meaningless preconditions which are preventing meaningful negotiations about Tibet between themselves and the Dalai Lama.
I am also writing to you to ask Mr. Brown to call on the Chinese authorities to end their campaign of vilification against the Dalai Lama, which is also harmful to progressive talks taking place on the Tibetan issue.
If you could contact the Prime Minister on my behalf regarding these issues, it would be much appreciated.
