Call on G20 leaders to act for Tibet |
Watch two video messages for the G20 summit that demand immediate action from world leaders to end the crisis in Tibet. Shao Jiang, a Chinese democracy activist who helped to organise the peaceful protests in Tiananmen Square in 1989, sends a strong, personal message to Chinese President Hu Jintao. Gyaljong Tsetrin, a former political prisoner in Tibet and cousin of missing Tibetan film-maker Dhondup Wangchen, addresses the G20 world leaders, urging them to take this opportunity to engage with Hu Jintao to address human rights abuses in Tibet.

TAKE ACTION
Support the calls by Shao Jiang and Gyaljong Tsetrin and write to Prime Minister Gordon Brown, host of the G-20 summit on 2 April 2009. This summit will see many of the world's most powerful leaders gathered together, and so it provides a major opportunity for the world's concerns about Tibet to be raised directly with China's President Hu Jintao. We want Gordon Brown to play a leading role in ensuring this happens. We hope that, with your help, he will receive letters calling for action from all over the world.
Write a letter or send a fax to Gordon Brown on + 44 20 7925 0918.
